Both Rick Ross and Wale have publicly confirmed the passing of Ross’ manager Black Bo. Wale shared a heartfelt Instagram post, praising Bo’s “selflessness,” and “genuine compassion and absolute loyalty” while also expressing his own sadness.

News first publicly broke about Bo’s death when Ross provided confirmation at what is believed to have been Maxim’s “December Miami Issue Party.”

“Rozay broke the news publicly Friday night (Dec. 8) at a Maxim party he performed at in Miami for 2017 Art Basel,” reported C. Vernon Coleman II of XXL. “‘This is an extremely sexy party,’ Ross reportedly told the crowd. ‘I know my dog Black would’ve loved to be here. Come on let me rap for my dog Black one time.’”

Fellow Maybach Music member Quise also weighed in.

“I was just with you a few hours prior!!” Quise wrote in a similarly heartfelt Instagram post. “Hit me cuz! I’m waiting on you to hit me and tell me we crazy! You my big cousin but I only knew you as my big brother! You kept me with you even as a shorty! I would always ask to ride with you and you would tell me hop in!”

The likes of Bruno Mali Kidd and French Montana also offered their condolences.

“My prayers go out to my brother @richforever and the rest of the family,” French Montana wrote, while posting a picture of himself, Black Bo, and Drake. “I know this one hurt. I'm really hurt, shed a tear for u brother!”

No cause of death for Black Bo has been publicly disclosed at this time.
