H-Town is taking over tonight’s broadcast of OVO Sound Radio.
For the 53rd episode, host Oliver El-Khatib will be joined by special guests DJ Eric and Big Tho of Houston’s 97.9 The Box. The two have become prominent figures in the city’s hip-hop scene and have also received praise from the OVO boss himself.
Following the release of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Drake shared a handwritten note in which he thanked everyone who made the mixtape possible—either through contributions or inspiration. DJ Eric and Big Tho were listed toward the end of the note, alongside names like Chief Keef, Travis Scott, Skepta, and Madonna.
Big Tho shared the art for tonight’s episode on Instagram with a caption expressing his gratitude.
“God just blessing us with different opportunities and we choose to take you with us,” he wrote. “[…] Tune in tomorrow OVO SOUND RADIO ON APPLE MUSIC #bigthoandericshow I STILL THINK THIS A DREAM.”
We already know the question on everybody’s mind: Will there be any new music tonight?
Though the guest artists haven’t hinted at any premieres, many fans are speculating we’ll get fresh material from Jimmy Prime. The Toronto artist posted the episode 53 art on his social media accounts with a series of emojis.
