Two days ago, we learned via a source that spoke to E! News that Nas and Nicki Minaj have reportedly been dating since May. You might have already assumed this when you learned they were having "sleepovers" from Nicki's interview on Ellen,also in May.
But then, just to make something that would otherwise seem straightforward super confusing, a second source told E! that they were not dating, and were instead just close friends.
Well, fast forward to Mo—*double checks calendar*—oh wait, Sunday, and the possible-but-maybe-not power couple somewhat (?) cleared things up by posting pictures together on Instagram. The pair donned matching Gucci gear while posing alongside an "Illmatic" Mercedes that Nas apparently got for his 44th birthday. While Minaj's caption read "Nasty Nas hopped out the illmatic ’88 benz tryna holla @ me earlier today in Queens":
Nas's message was a little less vague, as he wrote: "Got my Bday 1988 190E Benz & picked up Shorty from Queens! We Out!"
Time to speculate!
