Activists Project ‘There Is a Rapist in the White House’ on Trump Hotel

Another reminder that April is Sexual Assault Awareness month.

Care2—a company that describes itself as “the world’s largest social network for good"— projected the sentence “There is a rapist in the White House” on the side of Donald Trump’s D.C. hotel on Monday night. They also projected other messages like “Impeach Trump," “The President = Sexual Predator,” and “Groper-in-Chief.”

The group says the display was meant to “remind people of [the] fact” that “Trump has been accused of harassing or sexual assaulting 20 women, yet another reason this criminal does not belong in the White House,” in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month (April). Members of Care2 have also petitioned the White House to impeach 45, amassing 343,000 signatures as of Tuesday.

Trump did acknowledge that April was Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Of course, Trump has also denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and claims made against him. A White House spokesperson said late last year, “These false claims, totally disputed in most cases by eyewitness accounts, were addressed at length during last year’s campaign, and the American people voiced their judgment by delivering a decisive victory.” As The Hill notes, over a dozen women came forward during Trump’s campaign with allegations of assault or harassment against now-President Trump.
