Snowy cars in the snow

While New Yorkers sit and bitch about the snow, our lovely neighbors up north in Canada have found much more entertaining ways to cope with the winter weather. Simon Lapise says he punked Canadian police by sculpting a life-sized DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future out of nothing but the snow outside his Montreal home. TBH, it just looks like any other boxy fake car made of snow, but A for effort dude. Assuming he’s heard about the prank, we’re sure the film's Canadian-American star, Michael J. Fox, probably got a kick out of it too, even if the sculpture is more a random Corvette than it is a time-traveling DeLorean.

Anyway, when he’s not pulling tricks on the cops, Laprise daylights as a machinist and a designer. He posted photos, above, on Facebook featuring a befuddled police officer standing beside the literal snowmobile. He also posted a pic of a ticket the officer issued, which read, “You made our evening” in French. If only police relations with the public were as cheery stateside. C’est la vie, I guess.

Laprise said it took him four hours to complete the '80s film–inspired masterpiece, which was originally intended to prank snow removal teams. He also joked that the car had been “towed to the snow depot.” Oh, Canadians. You guys are the best.
