On September 22, 2004, ABC premiered an impactful television series called Lost, which began with an insane plane crash but ended up being (mostly) about everything but the accident. For those who don't remember it, allow me to jog your memory.

Seeing the footage above from inside Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ535 during its insane 24,000-foot plunge from 34,000 feet in the air—which happened in about 9 minutes during a flight over the weekend—made me think of that insane Lost scene.

According to reports, the AirAsia flight left Perth, Australia on its way to Bali on Sunday when the plane lost cabin pressure. Flight attendants and crew ran around in a panic, screaming "fasten your seatbelts," which is to be expected. But it can't help when all of this chaos is going on and you realize that the people who are supposed to know how to handle these situations were "screaming, looked tearful, and shocked." It led to quite a few passengers complaining about the crew's behavior later.

It was so scary that one of the passengers, identified as Chris Jeanes, said he was set to propose to his girlfriend Casey during their stay in Bali. But he got so shook that he handed her an oxygen mask, pulled out the ring, and asked her in the middle of this insane ordeal. She said yes, and after they got back on the ground, she stayed with her decision.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the freefall, and passengers ended up hopping on another flight and were given all the assistance they needed following their harrowing ordeal. I'm not sure if that would've been the headspace I'd be in. I'm kinda shook from getting on another plane after seeing that video footage. Stay woke.
